We do sell both OEM and aftermarket products and if the item is OEM it will be listed as an original product and the brand otherwise it would be aftermarket.


What is a 1 wire alternator?


It is an alternator that uses a special voltage regulator that doesn't need an ignition wire to activate it. This type alternator only requires a battery wire hooked to it. The voltage regulator contains circuitry that uses the residual magnetism in the alternators fields to determine when to turn the alternator on. The regulator does this by sensing the RPM the alternator is turning, when it gets to a certain rpm the voltage regulator "turns on". This type alternator is commonly used on custom cars & trucks, tractors and other non-standard applications when wiring is a factor.

I want to purchase a high amp alternator, why do I have to increase the positive battery cable size?


Because you have increased the amperage output of the alternator, you must therefore increase the load capability of the cable otherwise you will create a bottleneck effect which will limit the output capabilities of your new high amp alternator please refer to our tech info page for wire size and length ratios for specific amperage.


Is there a core charge?


No there isn't.


Does the starter come with a solenoid?


Yes, if the starter is pictured with a solenoid it is shipped as pictured.


Does the item come with a pulley?


Yes, if the alternator is pictured with a pulley it is shipped as pictured.


I do not see a "Add to Cart" Button on the item, how do I order?

What types of payment do you accept?


We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal. We do not accept personal checks or money orders.


How much is shipping?


Your shipping cost is determined at checkout. Standard Shipping to the continental U.S. is free. We also offer faster shipping options at a low cost.


What shipping carriers do you use?


We use UPS and US Postal Service for our shipping inside the USA. All international shipments are made using UPS. If you have a PO box please contact us to ensure we use the correct shipping method.


When will you ship?


Any orders placed with Expedited shipping (UPS Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air) ship out same day as long as they are completed by 3:00 pm Eastern time M-F. All other orders will go out the next business day.

I am outside of the United States, what will the shipping charge be?


We offer a 40% discount off the UPS published rates for International shipping (excluding UPS Standard to Canada).


How long will it take to get my order?


All high amp alternators are custom built for your order and are usually shipped within 2-4 days. All new units are usually shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order. Orders ship Monday through Friday. Sorry we do not ship on weekends or holidays.

Our standard shipping will get your order to you fast, but our expedited shipping options will cut the delivery time even more. Additionally, we offer a 20% discount on all expedited shipping charges.

Yes, we currently ship worldwide via UPS Worldwide Expedited and we offer a 40% discount off the UPS published rates for International shipping (*excluding UPS Standard to Canada). All international shipments are thoroughly inspected to assure perfect product fulfillment. The buyer is responsible for all duties and taxes. These will not be marked as a gift. All shipping fees on orders outside of the 48 continental United States are the responsibility of the customer.


PROCESSING TIME


Orders placed and paid by 3:00 PM EST will ship the same business day (*excluding weekends and holidays which will ship next business day).

Tracking information will be sent via e-mail by our shipping department. Delivery times can vary by location and shipping method. Typically, free shipping to the Eastern US is estimated to be delivered in 1-2 business days, where deliveries to the Western US (or most remote locations) may take up to 4-6 business days. Items purchased with FREE SHIPPING only apply to US 48 CONTIGUOUS STATES. International Shipping, US Non-Continental shipping - which includes Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Territories. Shipments will be delivered by UPS or USPS and the carrier will be selected at our discretion. We also offer Expedited Shipping Worldwide. SHIPPING RATES: Please add your items to a cart to determine your shipping costs and rates. ORDER TRACKING


We stay in touch with you throughout the shipping process. When your order is shipped you will receive a shipping confirmation that will include ship date and tracking information. Please allow up to 24 hours after shipment for your tracking number to be activated. In the email we will estimate the arrival date and provide a link to track your package.

CANCELLING AN ORDER


Our system is an automated system that allows us to ship thing out immediately and efficiently. In the event you need to cancel or change your order you may do so within 24 hours, provided your order has not been shipped, by contacting us at (586) 257-1515 or by Email.

We will make every effort to cancel the order for you, however we can not guarantee that we catch it before it's too late. If you do receive the item, you must complete the RMA Request Form on the website and we will provide the return instructions and refund that for you as soon as it is received.

***Please note: Do not refuse the shipment nor ship to the return address on the package as that is a warehouse and does not accept shipments. Thus the refund will be significantly delayed***

Please make sure the Ship-To address you use during checkout is correct. We are not responsible for wrong or undeliverable addresses.

In addition, we are not responsible for lost packages that have been marked as delivered by the carrier.

Customers are responsible for selecting a safe shipping address and assume all risk for packages stolen once delivered.

All orders that are returned to sender or undeliverable are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

RETURNS


*We accept returns for a refund up to 30 days from the date of purchase.
**Items returned must be in brand new, unused, condition.
***We only accept returns for items that have not been used or installed in any way whatsoever.
****Any items returned in any other condition than brand new will be subject to a restocking fee at our discretion or in some cases the return will be denied.
*****It is the responsibility of the customer to verify the correct application information prior to purchasing any product from MCR.
******Any purchases made in error, bought by mistake, no longer wanted, or returned to sender due to an incorrect address are subject to an applicable restocking fee up to 40% and require an RMA. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify the correct application information prior to purchasing any product from MOTORCITYREMAN. All purchases made in error, bought by mistake, no longer wanted, or returned to sender due to an incorrect address are subject to a 25% restocking fee and require a return authorization number. In these cases, the return shipping costs will also be deducted from the refund using our discounted shipping rates. Buyers are responsible for the shipping of any international orders.

I installed the part and it failed, what do I do?


Contact us via (586) 257-1515 or Email with the symptoms of your problem and we will first attempt to troubleshoot the problem. If we can not troubleshoot your issue, we will arrange for replacement.


I received my order, but now I have changed my mind and want a refund


Our warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective units only. We do not offer a cash refund on any electrical item that has been installed on vehicle. Refunds may be given if unit is returned within 7 days of receipt and has not been installed, damaged or used in any way. If you return a unit that was not installed after 7 days and before 30 days, there will be a 20% restocking fee charged. After 30 days there are no returns for refunds. Shipping charges are not refundable.
